La cruz potenzada, entre la bandera del pueblo de Lares (Primera Bandera de Puerto Rico) representa la REunión de los dos Gritos más importantes en la historia de Puerto Rico: El Grito de Lares (1868 contra España) y El Grito de Jayuya (1950 contra EE.UU.).

The Cross in Lares - In memory of all the patriots who gave their lives to achieve true freedom. The cross potent between the flag of the town of Lares (first Puerto Rican Flag) represents the REunion of the two most important uprisings in the history of Puerto Rico: "El Grito de Lares" (The Lares Uprising - 1868 against Spain) and El Grito de Jayuya (The Jayuya Uprising - 1950 against United States).
